Nokia N8 Price @ Rs. 26259 Launched in India

Nokia N8Nokia today launched its latest and much anticipated smartphone, the Nokia N8, with Ovi services in India. Leading Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, who had been living virtually on N8 for the last 48 hours, reappeared at the unveiling event with the device.

The first of a series of devices powered by Symbian^3, the latest edition of the world's most used smartphone software, the Nokia N8 intuitively connects people tothe places and services that matter most. It allows people to create compelling content, connect to their favorite social networks and enjoy on-demand Web TV programs and content. The latest version of Ovi Store, available first on the Nokia N8, gives easy access to more apps. Keeping Indian consumers in mind, Nokia has introduced thousands of apps on the Ovi Store, optimized for the Nokia N8.

Speaking at the unveiling, D. Shiva kumar, Vice President and Managing Director, Nokia India said, "The consumer is in the centre of all that we do at Nokia and we are constantly innovating to enhance user experience and address user feedback. The N8, our latest smartphone, sets a new milestone for Nokia in growth and innovation with the new Symbian ^3 platform that delivers our best smartphone experience required by the ever demanding consumer today. With the N8 we are delivering a great user experience and also starting the journey of a great developer experience. People who buy the Nokia N8, besides getting a portable entertainment center, will get more than 250 new experiences and features from a faster more responsive UI to visual multitasking. On the other hand, developers can easily create custom applications and services on Symbian^3, using the Qt framework and offer them to the world's largest mobile user base of 175 million Symbian devices globally."

Priyanka Chopra, who disappeared for 48 hours, was living her life on the N8 virtually and was extremely thrilled about the device.
